The gankogui is an African double bell which gives the main beat to all the dancers and musicians in Beninese, Ghanaian and Nigerian music. Its rhythm frames the different sections played by the drums which accompany it. Our gankogui are crafted by Beninese craftmen using traditional skills and local materials.
