Rattles for djembe - Djembe kessings
Djembe kessings
The kessings are attached to the edge of the djembe. They vibrate with the vibrations caused by the player’s strokes, and produce a sound that enriches the djembe’s sound and masks its small imperfections. The presence of the kessings is even stronger when the musician is standing, as the drum vibrates more. They can also be struck with the thumbs.
