Its original aesthetic and exceptional sonority create an incomparable instrument.
Dried in a vacuum for at least 4 years, the shell of this djembe hollowed out, re-balanced and precisely sanded on a wood lathe. It is finally coated with a blend of beeswax and terpin, protecting it from wood-eating insects
For Guinean blacksmiths, lingue (lenke) is sacred, considered the best wood for the fabrication of the djembe.

Couldn’t ask for more! The sound of this special Lenke wood ! goatskin, Guinean. Djembe is all that I hoped it would be and more. Perfectly tuned. The most authentic sound, resonance and vibe. Beautiful carving. Goat hair folded over the rings. Rubber tyre on the foot.
