Kpanlogo: buy drum from Africa (african drum)

Associated with the eponymous musical style, the kpanlogo is a drum from Africa whose origins lie with the Ga tribe, situated in the Grand Accra region of Ghana.

The kpanlogo is traditionally played by groups forming an ensemble of six drums in varying sizes. Played with drumsticks, bare hands or a combination of both techniques, it is often accompanied by djembés, dununs and bells.

Like many drums from Africa, the kpanlogo was used as a means of communication because the sound of its drumming could carry a message quite far …Central to many parties and local rites, it became a true ceremonial drum.
