Semi-thick calf skin with hair for djembe drum M

We recommend these skins for mounting a dundun or traditional drum with a high-quality natural skin 1 to 2 mm thick.

It is also important to choose a thick shell with good quality, dry wood for mounting this type of skin. The risk of deforming the instrument is greater when bovine skins are used.

We suggest using medium thickness cowhide for reheading a dundun or a drum with a quality animal skin with a thickness from 1 to 2 mm.

Attention! Skilled practice and reskinning required! A lever and locking pliers required. Fragile hands should not attempt this!

It is equally important to choose a thick shell, with a high quality dry wood to mount this type of skin. Indeed, the risk of deformation is higher when using very thick goatskins or cowhides.
